Jake Paul’s coach hoping Tommy Fury ‘tries to bang’ when they meet in ring

Jake Paul 's trainer believes the YouTuber has "size, strength and power" advantages over Tommy Fury ahead of their showdown fight in Florida next month.

Fury has seven wins from as many fights in his career to date, and his fame and popularity has been boosted by his run on reality show Love Island.

Paul is also unbeaten in his four fights, though the American has not yet faced someone with prior boxing experience – that will change when he steps into the ring with the Briton on December 18.

Despite that inexperience and Fury's pedigree as a member of one of boxing's most successful families, Paul's trainer BJ Flores believes his fighter can make the most of his slight weight and height advantage.

"We really hope Tommy does what he says he’s gonna do and that he comes to the middle of the ring and tries to bang with Jake," he told Boxing Scene.

"Size, strength, and power – Jake has big advantages. Tommy is going to find it very difficult when he gets hit with the first clean punch."

Fury is stepping up for the eight-round catchweight bout, having fought at light-heavyweight for most of his short career so far.

He has the full backing of his world heavyweight champion brother Tyson Fury and dad John, and will present a different kind of test to anything Paul has faced before.

But Flores went on to say his fighter is not afraid of any of that, and praised both for making the hotly-anticipated bout happen.

"Jake is a tireless worker.," he added.

"He has zero fear of Tommy or his last name and that will be very obvious when the first bell sounds.

"This is a great fight between two young undefeated guys who are willing to lay it all on the line.

"A lot is at stake here. The Fury name is legendary and this is a very serious challenge to us. Massive credit to both fighters."

John Fury has admitted his son will earn little to no boxing prestige by beating Paul, and is simply doing this so he can take advantage of a payday which is "in the millions".

And Tyson Fury has claimed his little brother had purposefully looked poor in his victory over Anthony Taylor on the undercard of Paul's fight with Tyron Woodley earlier this year, so he could secure this fight and the cash that comes with it.

"Tommy looked terrible on purpose so he could get this fight, that is what clever people do," the heavyweight champ said.

"Tommy could have his worst night ever and still beat Jake Paul.

"He could probably turn up with broken ribs, a broken left hand, two left feet, his clothes on back to front and a flu and he would still beat him. That is how confident I am that he can beat Jake Paul."
