Jake Paul wants fight with TikTok star Andrew Tate – and his team’s responded

Jake Paul is reportedly pushing for a fight with TikTok star Andrew Tate – but talks are yet to be held between the two.

The Problem Child, 25, had been preparing to return to the ring this weekend, but both Tommy Fury and Hasim Rahman Jr pulled out of the proposed bout at Madison Square Garden. Having made such a splash in his five professional outings so far, he's not short of potential replacements.

One of those to have called him out is Tate, who has also shot to fame on social media but used to be a kickboxer. The 35-year-old has cut a controversial figure online and was evicted from the 2016 series of Big Brother UK.

According to DramaAlert host Keemstar, Paul is targeting him as his next opponent. But a spokesperson for Tate has denied that they're in negotiations.

They told The Mirror: “There are currently no productive talks with Jake Paul’s team regarding a fight between him and Andrew. We are aware that due to the rise in Andrew’s popularity it’s a fight the world wants to see; however, at this moment in time, there is nothing to report.

"We have also become aware that Jake Paul and his team intend to call Andrew out via a collection of YouTube/Instagram videos; however, as stated before, there has been no official talks regarding a fight."

Tate first challenged Paul two years ago, suggesting in a video that they both put $3million (£2.47m) on the line. His desire to fight him has not waned, reiterating his stance recently on The Fellas podcast.

He said: "I don't dislike him, I understand him but I want to make something clear, I would still kick the living f*** out of Jake Paul. I'm not some washed-up UFC fighter and I'm not smaller than him.

"I would beat the living s*** out of him and if he wants to fight I'll fight him any day of the f***ing week. He's very smart with his 'I'm just a YouTuber angle'.

"You're a full grown man with the best coaches in the world who has dedicated years to learning how to box. The guy's not a jack*** and the fact he puts this spin on it is very smart."
