Jake Paul will face UFC legend Anderson Silva on October 29. According to YouTube insider Keemstar, Paul is set to for his toughest test to date against the former UFC middleweight world champion.

The news comes after, Paul teased a massive fight for October. Taking to Twitter yesterday he wrote: “Just got the call. Massive opponent announcement this week. October.”

While his promotional outfit, Most Valuable Promotions added: “Next week we will announce Jake Paul’s next opponent. [He] will almost certainly be the underdog. He knows that and he wants that.”

Despite the news not being made public yet, Keemstar is known as an extremely reliable source when it comes YouTube news. The host of the popular talk show, Drama Alert, recently broke the news that Alex Wassabi had pulled out of his fight with KSI before the official announcement as well.

If the reports are true then it is very likely as MVP suggests, Paul will come in as the underdog. Silva, although past his best at 47, was one of the most dominant UFC champions of all time in his prime and has recently shown glimpses of his former self in his new pursuit as a professional boxer.

After being released from his UFC contract in November 2020, the Brazillian switched to boxing and has won his last two bouts, the first against former world champion boxer, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr and the second versus fellow MMA legend Tito Ortiz — both in dominant fashion.
