Jake Paul has mocked MMA fighter Nate Diaz’s professional record ahead of a potential bout

Their war of words continued on Twitter where Paul wrote: ‘You have six times as many losses as Ben Askren. Let that sink in.’

His comments came after Askren admitted that Paul is ‘kind of good at boxing,’ after suffered a first-round TKO defeat to the YouTuber back in April.

Diaz responded to an article containing Askren’s quotes, in which he said: ‘Coming from a retired wrestler who can’t fight or box.’

Nate Diaz who is a 17-year veteran in MMA holds a professional record which stands at 20-13

After receiving Paul’s reply about his professional record, Diaz added: ‘He sucks Jake.

‘You’d get smoked in a real fight tho. You can’t really fight. Boxing matches with wrestlers only. Let that sink in.’

Askren, the former Bellator and ONE Welterweight champion, holds a 21-2 professional MMA record.

Veteran Diaz meanwhile holds a 33-13 record after a 17-year career in MMA.

Paul has a 4-0 boxing record which includes a win over MMA fighter Ben Askren

Paul began his rivalry with Diaz by including him and his brother Nick on a boxing hit-list which also included Conor McGregor and Kamaru Usman.

The 24-year-old first turned to boxing after beating fellow YouTuber Deji in an amateur match on the undercard to their brothers Logan Paul and KSI fighting in the main event.

He then turned professional and has victories over another YouTuber in AnEsonGib,  former basketball player Nate Robinson, Askren and former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley.

Nate and Nick Diaz will be ringside for Paul’s next bout in Florida, to watch their friend Anthony Taylor take on Chris Avilla on the undercard.
