Jake Paul sends ultimatum to KSI as rivals on collision course for fight date

Jake Paul has given fellow YouTube rival KSI until next week to accept an offer to meet in the boxing ring before the end of 2023. Paul and KSI have played integral roles in growing the YouTube boxing scene, which has gained huge traction over the past year.

Since forging careers in boxing, the two content creators have been backed to settle their differences in the ring. Paul has been the more active fighter, having had six professional bouts and winning all six.

The American has defeated a number of big names in the MMA circuit, including Tyron Woodley twice, Ben Askren and most recently 45-year-old Anderson Silva.

KSI however has had just the one professional fight, having defeated Paul's older brother Logan back in 2019. After meeting in the ring the English YouTuber has since teamed up with the older Paul brother, with the pair business partners behind the hugely popular Prime energy drink.

Away from professional fighting, KSI has also enjoyed a number of victories across the exhibition circuit, but a bout with Paul could well prove his toughest test yet. An eventual fight between the pair has gained traction this week after the two YouTube stars clashed on a Twitter space conversation.

Calling out Paul for not being transparent in their negotiations, KSI said: "You say you are ready but then the negotiations don't say that. You are full of s***." Paul was quick to respond though, commenting: "I agreed to fight you for free and you know that and everyone online knows that on short notice.

"You had me two weeks for free and you still p***ied out." Following on from the live audio spat, Paul continued the discussion over on to his Twitter feed, where he offered a firm ultimatum to his English rival.

He tweeted: "I sent KSI and his team a contract over a month ago. I offered to come to the UK, 185 pounds and 10 rounds. I have been at 8 rounds since Askren. He and his team have yet to respond."

Claiming the plan is to meet his rival on British soil at the end of this year, he added: "The offer was/is to come to the UK in December 2023. If he doesn’t respond next week after his show, then it’s going to have to be in the US. The best part is he tells Ariel Helwani that I’m hiding behind negotiations when in fact he has yet to respond. Hahaha."
