Jake Paul said Floyd Mayweather was left "broke" before Logan’s latest outburst

Offbeat news from the world of sport

Jake Paul accused Floyd Mayweather of being broke before his brother Logan's latest outburst regarding a year-long despite over pay following their exhibition draw back in June of 2021.

The younger of the brothers, 25, hypothesised that the undefeated former five-weight world champion in fact couldn't pay Logan the money he is owed – because he doesn't actually have it.

That suggestion came as Celebrity Net Worth estimate that Mayweather has funds in the region of £400million, having earned just short of £1biilion across his 50-0 career of professional bouts and enjoyed a lucrative period in exhibition bouts in retirement.

Speaking to Rob Moore in February, Jake said: "Floyd is broke, man. I've been saying it the whole entire time.

"I think he probably spent it on all the girls he pays to be around him."

That chat came long before Logan's latest social media jibe in which, alongside a snap of the pair fighting, he wrote: "One year ago today, I fought Moyd Fayweather.

"He’s hard to hit, but even harder to collect money from. Who should I fight next?"

Logan had previously told TMZ Sports: "No, he has not paid me in full. That is a fact. Short a few mil. Nah. We’re taking this one to court.

"See you in the courtroom.Congrats on going to prison, Floyd."

Hitting back on the Pivot Podcast, Mayweather said: "To them, that’s real money, and I like the YouTubers.

"The money on the back end though, from pay-per-view, that takes a while. Nothing comes right away.

"I’m still collecting checks from fights seven or eight years ago. They just hate when the table is turned. Be happy with the biggest payday you ever got in your life."
