Jake Paul knows “obliterating” Nate Diaz will look “rigged” before McGregor bout
Jake Paul has vowed to “obliterate” Nate Diaz if they lock horns in the boxing ring – so much so that fans will claim the fight was “rigged” like his recent win over Ben Askren.
The YouTube star turned boxer picked up the third win of his professional career earlier this month, knocking out Askren inside the first round of their clash in Atlanta, Georgia.
Given he dispatched of Askren, a former UFC star and Olympian, with one of the first power shots he threw on the night, fans were convinced that the contest was fixed to ensure Paul came out on top.
He is now desperate to go head-to-head with former two-weight UFC champion Conor McGregor in his next bout.
However, with McGregor seemingly uninterested for the time being, Paul believes a dominant win over Diaz, who has battled it out with the Irishman twice in the past, will convince him to take the fight.
Speaking about the potential fight with Diaz, the American told ESPN: “I think people will immediately write me off, but they're going to tune in to watch.
“It's two massive names and it's a massive pay-per-view.
“When people see me obliterate him [Diaz], their jaws are going to drop, they're not going to know how to react and they're going to think it's rigged again.
“At that moment in time, I'll be undeniable to fight Conor McGregor because I beat the guy who beat him.
