Jake Paul is self-confessed “evil troll” who uses “s*** from haters as fuel”

YouTuber Jake Paul has admitted to being an “evil troll” but fired back at his critics by saying he uses their comments as motivation.

The 24-year-old has moved away from the video website and into the boxing ring over the past 18 months, taking part in three professional fights.

But despite his success online and in the ring, Paul has faced a barrage of criticism from boxing fans and pundits for his attempts to become a professional.

He began his career in the sport by with a first-round stoppage against fellow YouTuber ‘AnEsonGib’.

That came before a knockout win over former NBA player Nate Robinson and a brutal first round demolition of then-retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren.

Paul continues to face criticism for his antics both in the ring and outside it, but has insisted that he is happy to laugh it off.

“I'm like the evil troll behind the iPhone screen just laughing and giggling and just having fun with this whole entire thing,” he told The Sun.

“I think haters are confused fans. I don't think there is such a thing as haters.

“If you really don't like someone you just don't watch them, you don't talk about them, you don't care what they're up to and you don't mention their name. All of these people are actually my fans.”

The American has also stated that rather than put him off boxing, he in fact uses the hate he gets as motivation to continue fighting.

“I think it's what drives and motivates me. I use that s*** as fuel, I'm like say whatever you want to say, it's just making me work harder to prove all of you wrong,” he added.
