Social media star Jake Paul says he doubts a fight with Tommy Fury ‘will ever happen’, after the British boxer pulled out of their arranged bout this weekend.

The two personalities clashed backstage at Paul’s last fight against Tyron Woodley and were due to settle their feud at the Amalie Arena in Florida this weekend.

However, the fight was called off earlier this month after Fury suffered a number of injuries and a bacterial chest infection during his training camp.

As ‘The Problem Child’ prepares to take on Woodley for the second time this year, he’s made it clear he thinks the opportunity has passed for Tyson Fury’s younger brother.

Speaking to Showtime TV, Paul said: ‘I don’t think a fight will ever happen. I don’t wanna give him the opportunity. He had his shot.

‘I’d like to see him have to fight 20 more times to even get the same payday he was gonna get vs me. Sorry Tommy, it’s not gonna happen.’

The social media influencer didn’t stop there, as he brandished a t-shirt taunting Fury at the weigh-ins with Woodley this week.

The shirt reads: ‘Tommy this could have been you’ with an arrow pointed in the direction of his opponent.

Former Love Island contestant, Fury, drew a lot of backlash after backing out of the fight and leaving Paul with no opponent just two weeks prior to the bout.

Luckily, former UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley stepped up on short notice in an attempt to redeem his loss against Paul in the summer.

The YouTube star won via split decision at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in August and claimed the only way for Woodley to earn a rematch would be to get a tattoo of the Cleveland native’s name – which he did.

As well as that victory, Paul has picked up professional boxing wins against YouTuber AnEsonGib, former basketball player Nate Robinson, and a retired MMA fighter in Ben Askren.
