Jake Paul admits he is overlooking former UFC champion Tyron Woodley
Jake Paul is so confident ahead of his fight with Tyron Woodley that he is looking past the former UFC champ and planning his next fight.
Paul will face Woodley in his fourth professional fight inside the ring this Sunday in Cleveland, Ohio. It will be Woodley's first fight since parting ways with the UFC in April.
And talking for the last time before the event at the final pre-fight press conference, Paul made it clear he doesn't respect Woodley's past achievements.
He said: "Tyron Woodley. He really is 'The Chosen One'. We chose him to get his ass beat. I’m sending him into retirement, turning him into a meme.
"People are going to be surprised, I haven’t shown s*** I can fight southpaw too. I might even come out as a southpaw. This is my coming out party.
"I am overlooking Tyron Woodley. When I know what's going to happen, when I’m confident in my skill. When you know what's going to happen, it’s easy, this an easy sport.
"There’s no real respect. I don’t respect what he’s done. I’m going to show that winning a UFC title doesn’t mean sh** in the world of boxing."
After the press conference concluded, Woodley seemed to be enraged at a comment from a member of Paul's entourage aimed at his mother. A family member of Woodley's confronted one of Paul's team and a fracas followed.
Elsewhere on the card, Tommy Fury will make his US debut when he fights Paul's sparring partner Anthony Taylor.
The cousin of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, Tommy has exchanged words with Paul for months and is hoping a win against Taylor will set up a fight against 'The Problem Child'.

But he isn't looking past Taylor, an MMA fighter who will fight in the ring for the first time on Sunday night.
Fury said: "Tyson’s very familiar over here, I’m about to become very familiar over here. I’m coming over here with my package and you’re going to see that Sunday night.
"If this man thinks I've overlooked him he is very wrong. I’m training like I’ve got a shot at all these belts on Sunday night. I've put myself away for eight weeks and grilled myself to the limit.
"I’ve been to hell and back for this fight. Jake Paul didn’t come into mind once during this camp. I don’t think about him. The only man I’ve been thinking about and I’ve thought about has been Anthony Taylor.
"On Sunday night we can get the job done and whatever else lies ahead, we can think about then. But until then, this man’s getting knocked out cold."
