Tyson Fury could be set for a homecoming fight in a stadium next year after he brutally demolished Deontay Wilder.

The Gypsy King defended his WBC heavyweight title with an 11th-round knockout of the American after he picked himself up off the canvas.

Fury, 33, may now return to the UK to end a five-fight run in the US and four-year spell boxing outside of the UK potentially in April.

Promoter Frank Warren said: “I would love a homecoming more than anything, for the British fans and everything.

“Fury is the best heavyweight of his generation and he is up there with all of them.

“Look at his size and chin and his heart to keep getting up off the floor, he gets up.

“That was the best heavyweight fight I’ve seen.

“He would be a stand-out performer in any era, for anybody.

“Tyson sells out any stadium in Britain, easy, big time.

“The fans will come out for him.

“Everything is possible and we will just sit down and look at how we do everything.

“I was really proud just be involved and with him tonight because he just proved himself to be a true fighting man and he deserves that hero’s homecoming now.”

That could be an all-British clash against Dillian Whyte.

Whyte faces Swede and former Fury opponent Otto Wallin later this month.

The WBC will give Fury 30 days to negotiate an undisputed fight with WBA, IBF and WBO champion Oleksandr Usyk but the Ukrainian has to face Anthony Joshua in a rematch.

That means the winner of Whyte and Wallin will get the mandatory position.

Warren said: They haven’t said anything for sure yet and it will depend when they want it to happen and we need to see what happens with Whyte and Wallin first because that is not an easy fight.”

Warren also believes Joshua will be glad he didn’t have to get in the ring with Fury.

He said: “Look at the comparison between Tyson’s and AJ performances.

“If Joshua has just watched that it will have frightened the life out of him.”

Meanwhile, Fury spent last night partying at Hakkasan Nightclub in the MGM Grand and plans to jet home on Tuesday with wife Paris to see their six children.

He insists his only focus is on enjoying his victory and not an undisputed clash with Usyk.

The Brit said: “We will see, I have just earned a well-earned break, I have been home two weeks in six months so before I start thinking about fighting other men then I’m going to bask in this victory.

“This was one of my greatest wins, I got off the floor to do it and I am the big dog in this division.”
