Tyson Fury’s dad has claimed he will ‘pressure’ his son to fight the winner of the eagerly-anticipated rematch between Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk – insisting the Gypsy King could beat either of them ‘at a canter’.

Joshua and Usyk are set to clash for the WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight titles in an epic showdown in Saudi Arabia on August 20.

The victor will look to face WBC champion Fury next in an historic undisputed bout, despite the Gypsy King announcing his retirement after knocking out Dillian Whyte earlier this year.

Many, including his own father, have rubbished Fury’s claims that he will retire. He has previously claimed that he would be willing to fight Joshua for free at Wembley Stadium next year, while he has also said that he would take on the undefeated Usyk, but would want a staggering £500m to do so.

John Fury has revealed he would attempt to persuade his son to go up against the winner of the Joshua-Usyk clash, and said he had a ‘sneaky feeling’ the British boxer would prevail to set up a mouthwatering contest with Fury, a fight fans of the sport have long been desperate to see.

‘If Joshua gets the win, then it’s all to play for isn’t it,’ Fury Sr told talkSPORT.

‘Even I’d want [Tyson] to do that, I’d pressure him to do that. And Usyk, why not? He can beat them both at a canter so why not?

‘But don’t be surprised if AJ pulls it off. I’ve got a sneaky feeling again that AJ’s going to do it and he has this remarkable way of bouncing back doesn’t he.’

Fury, 33, has been talking up a proposed trilogy bout with Derek Chisora (L) in recent days

Bob Arum, Fury’s promoter, claimed that the plan is to see how the Joshua-Usyk rematch plays out before plotting the WBC champion’s next move.

Fury had also indicated that his proposed trilogy bout with Derek Chisora will no longer be taking place after claiming that his rival has been asking for too much money.

The Gypsy King has been telling fans in recent days that he will be making a comeback to the ring, and that he wants to fight Chisora for the third time.

It was reported on Tuesday that Goldstar Promotions, who handle Fury’s meet-and-greets, had sent a proposal to Chisora, with a date in December at the Principality Stadium being eyed. However, Fury has now hinted that the fight won’t go ahead due to Chisora’s financial demands.

But the British boxer ended up sinking beers with dad John (left) and friend Spencer Brown (right) after finding out the former World’s Strongest Man was actually in Rome making a film

‘Everybody is waiting for the fight to happen a week from Saturday and then we’ll explore whether it’s feasible to do a fight for the complete unification. He’s having fun, for Christ sake! Don’t take it seriously!’ Arum said.

‘The truth is that he gets up in the morning and he figures how he can best stir up s*** and that’s what he does. (Fury) is just having fun. It’s his idea of fun.’

Fury on Thursday sensationally flew to Iceland to challenge strongman Hafthor Bjornsson in person – but went to the pub after finding out he was in a different country.

The 33-year-old, travelled to the Nordic island, where former World’s Strongest Man and Game of Thrones actor Bjornsson is based.

But with ‘Thor’ in Rome filming a new movie, undefeated Brit Fury (32-0-1) put on a Viking hat, called Bjornsson out before sinking beers with dad John and friend Spencer Brown.
