Fury ‘scared to fight’ claims Usyk promoter as he blasts ‘greedy belly’
Oleksandr Usyk's promoter is adamant that "greedy belly" Tyson Fury is 'too scared' to take on his fighter in an undisputed heavyweight title showdown.
The most anticipated fight of the year between two undefeated champions has been pencilled in for April 29 at the Wembley Stadium. And an official announcement for the fight appeared imminent after Ukrainian WBA, IBF, and WBO heavyweight belt holder Usyk agreed to just 30 per cent of the purse to make the fight happen in London.
But WBC champion Fury issued a fresh demand on Monday as he told his rival to forget about a rematch clause in his contract for the blockbuster dust-up. And the former cruiserweight king's promoter Alexander Krassyuk insists Fury's latest request is a sign that the Gypsy King is ducking the fight.

"As Usyk said, the greedy belly (Fury) is still hoping to find a way to pull out. We knew before and know it now," Krassyuk told talkSPORT.
"As soon as Usyk accepts a no rematch clause there will still be searching for another thing to find and pull out the fight.
"I tell you why. He bluffed and Usyk called his bluff. This is 100 per cent. He didn't expect Usyk to accept 70/30.
"It's all about nothing. He's not prepared and scared to fight. He will try to find a way to avoid Usyk for as long as possible. We don't trust him, we don't believe him.''
Usyk's camp are clearly disputing Fury's assertion that he has only just discovered the rematch clause in the fight contract.
And Usyk has also now responded to Fury's message himself, using his now customary 'belly' jibe after the Brit claimed he was 'upping the ante' with his contract terms.
“Greedy belly," Usyk said in a Twitter video released on Monday. "Rematch clause came from your side, not mine. Stop whining and ducking. Be a man and sign the contract or vacate the belt. I need undisputed and not to play your stupid games.”
