Four boxers lined up for Tyson Fury in March bout with Dillian Whyte missing out
Tyson Fury ’s promoter Frank Warren has revealed that four men are in line to potentially take on the Gypsy King in the ring in March.
Fury successfully defended his world heavyweight title in October, after seeing off arch rival Deontay Wilder for a second time, to complete the pair’s trilogy of fights.
The Englishman put on a dominant display in Las Vegas, and his quality was finally rewarded late on, as he clinched victory thanks to a brutal knockout in the 11th round.
Since his victory there has been plenty of speculation on who the Gypsy King will take on next, with many expecting it to be fellow Brit Dillian Whyte.
However promoter Warren has revealed his man would not be looking to put his belt on the line in March, adding there are four potential opponents for Fury, but one remarkably isn’t Whyte – who is currently in a legal battle with the WBC.
Warren told iFL news: “He [Fury] can’t be inactive because of the problems caused by this arbitration between the WBC and Whyte.
"We have got to sort out an opponent first before we can move further forward. I‘m not going to go into that because we have got to get things done first.
"But we are working quite hard on it and there are about four in the frame and we will make a decision on that, subject to their availability too."

During the interview Warren also slammed Whyte’s promoter Eddie Hearn, and accused the 42-year-old of talking ‘nonsense’ when it comes to discussing the chances of the Body Snatcher taking on Fury.
As a result, Warren commented that due to the arbitration between Whyte’s team and the WBC no negotiating would take place before March, despite Hearn’s claims.
The WBC and Dillian Whyte are in arbitration and that hearing is not set to be heard until March,” added the promoter.
“We can't negotiate, whatever nonsense Eddie Hearn says about negotiating, when the WBC haven't said what the splits are.
"In his mind, he thinks he's getting 45 per cent, in our mind it's 20 per cent, based upon their previous purses lodged under WBC regulations.
"And they won't determine those percentages until arbitration and until that happens, we can't negotiate and that doesn't mean you could just do the fight in April."
