Floyd Mayweather announces his next exhibition fight will take place atop the famous Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai – the scene of stunts involving Anthony Joshua and Roger Federer – as YouTuber Money Kicks is touted as a possible opponent

  • He has yet to name an opponent but Youtuber Money Kicks has been mentioned 

Floyd Mayweather has confirmed he will return to the ring this year for another exhibition fight, this time staged at the top of a hotel in Dubai. 

Mayweather has not entered the ring since June 6 last year when he fought Youtuber Logan Paul.

He had suggested that his appearance at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami may have been his last, however he has confirmed his return for another exhibition bout in February, at a spectacular venue.

The venue is the Burj Al Arab hotel, where Anthony Joshua has previously held a workout 

The bout will take place atop the Burj Al Arab hotel, on the helipad that has previously been used to host a Anthony Joshua workout session and a tennis match between Roger Federer and Andre Agassi.   

‘We will be doing a special limited edition boxing showcase right here on the helipad – February 20,’ he said at a press conference on Tuesday. 

‘It’s always been a goal of mine to come to the UAE and put on a show and display my talent for the people in the Middle East.

Roger Federer and Andre Agassi have also taken part in a tennis match on the hotel’s helipad

‘We haven’t chosen an opponent yet, but we will let the people know who the opponent will be.

‘We may do more than one fight, we wanna give the people some entertainment.

‘I don’t like to call what I’m doing a fight, I like to call it a limited edition boxing showcase. it’s bigger than just boxing.’

No opponent has been confirmed yet, though talks of Dubai-based Youtuber Money Kicks, real name Rashed Belhasa, setting foot in the ring with Mayweather have intensified.

And the boxing great admitted that Money Kicks was in the running as a possible opponent. 

‘I spoke with [my advisors] about Money Kicks. We don’t really know,’ he added.

‘He is from [Dubai]. It is going to be great.

‘It will be a very special crowd. Not too many people. So, if you get the chance to come here, you must know that you are very special.’
