Ebanie Bridges’ Face ID fails as boxer suffers with gruesome swollen eye
Ebanie Bridges was unable to unlock her laptop with Face ID not working due to the huge swelling to her left eye.
Bridges suffered the nasty injury in defeat to Shannon Courtenay in Saturday’s WBA bantamweight world title fight.
The Australian was heard telling her corner late in the fight that she was unable to see through the battered eye.
And it caused her issues with technology later in the night too with a video showing the extent of the swelling.
A tweet also read: “Spare a thought for @EbanieBridges, messaged me after her fight on Saturday Night asking if I had any idea how to get into a laptop when she’s forgot her PIN and Face ID isn’t working.”
And if there were any doubts as to whether that story was made up, Bridges replied: “HahHahaa true story hahahaha”.
Speaking after the fight of her injury, Bridges, who weighed in for the bout in lingerie, told iFL TV: “I’m feeling good, I couldn’t see for the last three rounds.
“But I was like [to the doctor] ‘please don’t ask me if I can see, because I’m not f***ing quitting, I don’t quit’.
“And I was trying to open it to show I could see, but the last round I had to keep going to my left because I couldn’t see.
“Hats off to Shannon, she can punch, she can fight. It was a great fight for me, first fight in the UK and I’ll be back.
“I wouldn’t mind a rematch, I thought it was closer than the scorecards, and I wouldn’t mind fighting without a busted up eye.”
