Deontay Wilder power sends ripples through Tyson Fury’s body in new footage

Tyson Fury knocked out Deontay Wilder to retain his WBC heavyweight title on Saturday night, having been forced to pull himself off the canvas twice during a dramatic battle in Las Vegas.

Fury put the American down to the point of no return in the 11th round of an all-time classic at the T-Mobile Arena, where both men emerged with credit aplenty for playing their part in such a thrilling contest.

It was Wilder who dropped first in the third round, succumbing to the pressure of a swift one-two combination from the Gypsy King when pushed back against the ropes.

Yet just as Fury appeared on the verge of victory, he was then left hanging on for dear life when a crisp right hand sent him tumbling to the canvas in the fourth.

The brutal impact of that shot from Wilder, one of the hardest-hitting heavyweights in boxing history, was evident when he went down again towards the end of the round before being saved by the bell.

And new footage from the fight shows exactly how devastating the right hand was, as it sent ripples through Fury's body before he hit the deck.

During a slow-motion replay of the knockdown, Wilder lands his explosive right flush on the chin of Fury, whose torso then appears to have a wave run through it.

It was no surprise that the Brit struggled to regain his composure and balance for the rest of that round, yet from the start of the fifth onwards he displayed his tremendous powers of recovery once again.

Just as he did in their first bout, when he returned to his feet in dramatic fashion after being floored in the 12th round, Fury rallied back in stunning fashion to eventually go on and knock Wilder out.

The Bronze Bomber took a beating over the next seven rounds and was felled again in the 10th, before the crushing blow came in the 11th.
