Boxing fan bets ‘entire life savings’ on Chris Eubank Jr and slides into his DMs
One boxing fan has bet their ‘entire life on savings’ on Chris Eubank Jr to defeat Liam Williams when the pair meet for an eagerly-anticipated bout in Cardiff on Saturday night.
After months of waiting Eubank Jr will finally get the chance to take on bitter rival Williams, after their scheduled fight was suspended twice ahead of their clash tomorrow night.
The pair were initially set to fight on December 11, however Williams was forced to pull out and delay the bout after picking up an injury.
The clash was then rearranged for January 29, but another setback led to another postponement, after the British Boxing Board of Control suspended all boxing in January due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
However both fighters and boxing fans alike will now get the fight they have been looking forward to for some time, with one fan laying everything on the line for the clash.
As a result, Eubank Jr revealed a direct message he received on Instagram from a fan that revealed they had bet their ‘entire life savings’ on the Englishman to win.
The direct message read: “Chris I’ve just unloaded my life savings onto you to win by stoppage don’t let me down”
Eubank Jr then uploaded a screenshot of the message to his Instagram story with the caption: “Now that’s some belief right there”

Ahead of the eagerly awaited bout both fighters have exchanged plenty of trash talk, in a rivalry that has been bubbling for months.
In an interview with BBC Sport, Eubank Jr has revealed he is ‘emotionally invested’ in the fight and described Williams as a ‘bad person’.
He said: “My last two fights weren't big fights, I didn't have much to get up for, but with this one, I am emotionally invested.
"He's not a nice guy. He's a bad person and people like him need to be pushed out of the sport and that's what I am going to do on Saturday night.

"He has always been gunning for me. I am a target for everyone in the middleweight division.
"This is a fight that he has built up, that he's talked his way into and he will now have to fight his way out of, and he is not going to be able to do that."
On the other side of the ring Williams has also had his say pre-fight, and seems brimming with confidence ahead of the clash tomorrow evening.
He commented: “I don't think Chris is known for having a good chin and once the going gets tough, you will see that…
“I'm so excited to drop this guy down a few levels. I've got a better skillset, I punch harder. He might be tough and takes a good shot, but his legs are robotic and he moves like he's got wooden legs. My skill set is better."
The fight will take place on away soil for Eubank, as Williams will play in front of a bumper home crowd in the capital.
Despite being in uncharted territory, the Englishman has no problem with the fight location.
He commented: “I have loved it out here… The location doesn't matter to me. I said [to Liam] if you want home advantage, take it.
“Do I mind booing? No. Will it affect me? No. I'd prefer cheering fans but sometimes I've had to be the bad guy. It's okay, I'm comfortable.
“It makes me more spiteful, so Liam needs to tell his fans to be nice. That's the best chance he's got.”
