Amir Khan is reportedly being investigated by police after live-streaming himself while appearing to drive for eight minutes on Christmas Day.

The former light-welterweight boxing champion was accompanied by a friend in his £100,000 Range Rover as he appears to drive and chat to fans on a YouTube live-stream.

Khan’s video clip was viewed almost 40,000 times as he potentially landed himself in hot water once again.

After the original video was deleted it was uploaded by FightHype and has been viewed an additional 17,000 since it was uploaded on Christmas Day.

Khan, who has a string of previous motoring convictions, was seen looking down at his phone, giving shout-outs to fans and reading messages. He also picked up the phone to show viewers his surroundings at one point in the video.

It is illegal to text or make calls using hand-held devices while driving.

Although Khan did not appear to touch the screen of his mobile, he could still find himself in hot water for driving without due care and attention.

And according to The Sun, the 35-year-old could now face trouble after police were made aware of the incident.

Greater Manchester Police told the outlet on Sunday: “GMP was made aware of a video on social media which appears to have been filmed whilst driving a vehicle.

“Police are currently investigating.”
