7 opponents Jake Paul could fight next after Woodley win – from McGregor to KSI

Jake Paul continues to prove to the world he may just belong in the boxing ring after all.

Written off by most, those closest to him continue to tell anyone who will listen that the 24-year-old YouTuber really is a dab hand in the fight game.

Paul earned a split decision against UFC star Tyron Woodley last night, with the MMA fighter struggling against the young social media superstar.

And he now has the fighting world at his feet, with the power to choose who he fights next in what will surely be another big payday for the former Disney Channel actor.

But who could he realistically fight next time out?

Tyron Woodley part II

First off, Woodley wants a rematch.

The MMA star was quick to ask Paul for a second fight after feeling he did enough to take the judges' decision in Cleveland last night.

Paul agreed to the rematch on one condition – if Woodley got an 'I love Jake Paul' tattoo.

The UFC star, who has now lost five fights in a row, quickly agreed to the proposal, to the dismay of many.

However, Paul is likely to have his eyes on a new opponent next.

Tommy Fury

Speaking of new opponents, the most likely is Tommy Fury.

Younger brother of Brit heavyweight icon Tyson Fury, the ex-Love Island star would be the first professional boxer to face Paul.

Fury won on last night's undercard, wasting no time to call out Paul amid growing speculation the two will finally end the trash talking in the ring.

However, Paul appeared to pour cold water on the fight when asked about it in the moments after his win.

“I'm not sure [if Tommy Fury is next]. I haven't stopped, I need to figure who I am. I'm keeping my head on straight, I'll get back in the gym when ready. Let's see," he said.

Conor McGregor

What a draw this would be for Paul, who has frequently called out Conor McGregor since he began making a name for himself in the fight game.

UFC star McGregor has remained relatively silent regarding the entertainer.

But in the immediate aftermath of last night's fight, the injured Irishman simply tweeted: "Salivating."

McGregor's replies were full of fans commenting on Paul's performance on the night.

But the UFC icon then tweeted again minutes later, showing fans what he was really drooling over.

"My lobster pasta is on route," he wrote, with a video of his food in front of him.

KSI

KSI has faced off against Logan Paul twice in recent years – but it may be time for him to fight brother Jake.

Both YouTubers have publicly stated their dislike for one another in the past.

And speaking on the Happy Hour Podcast, KSI's manager Liam Chivers said: "People say 'will he fight Jake Paul?' – he absolutely wants to fight Jake Paul – but not until he is ready.

Paul has often hit out at KSI, accusing him of ducking a fight.

Logan Paul

The two brothers have often teased a potential super fight given they have both established themselves as boxers in recent years.

Logan recently went the distance with Floyd Mayweather, to the surprise of practically everyone watching.

"Everyone asks this question," Logan Paul told CBS Sports in June, when quizzed over fighting his brother.

"I really do believe part of the reason I was put on this earth was to entertain and to put on a show to alleviate.

"I think me fighting Jake would create a spectacle that has never been done and would probably never be done again. That excites me."

Dana White

Hear me out…

Paul has made no secret of his hatred for UFC chief Dana White, even threatening to 'knock him the f*** out' in a Las Vegas nightclub if they ever cross paths.

And earlier this week White wad forced to respond to those wild claims.

He said: “It actually makes sense now. I’m 52-years-old. I’m in the age bracket of guys he fights, so yeah, I could see him wanting to fight me. It’s all he fights are 50-year-olds.

“Let me tell you what, get in line. There are plenty of people who would like to assault me. It’s a long f***ing line, buddy. You’re going to be waiting for a while. No, it doesn’t bother me. This is the business we’re in."

Never say never knowing these two…

Jorge Masvidal

Jorge Masvidal is reaching the business end of his UFC career.

The 36-year-old was recently knocked out in the second-round when fighting Kamaru Usman, which led to calls he is past his best in the fight game.

Masvidal has helped Paul prepare for fights in the past.

But that hasn't stopped the YouTuber-turned-boxer firing digs at his former sparring partner.

“Anyone here listen to a Masvidal interview and go, ‘Wow, that guy’s intellectual. He’s a smart guy and the way he talks, he’s very well spoken.’ I don’t think anyone says that,” Paul said recently.

“He’s a street fighter gangster who got knocked the f*** out in his last fight, so maybe he’s losing a couple brain cells.”

When asked, Paul said he would be very interested in a boxing match with Masvidal.

“I would love to fight Masvidal, I think it could very very much so happen.”
