Pimblett thinks he would ‘submit Paul quite easily’ despite size difference

UFC star Paddy Pimblett has responded to Logan Paul after the American called him out, warning him that he would convincingly beat him. Paul has featured in both the boxing and wrestling ring since turning his eye to fighting, and is now seeking a move into MMA.

The American YouTube star recently revealed that if he was to make the move into UFC, one man who he would like to take on is the championship’s newest star Pimblett. ‘Paddy the Baddy’ has enjoyed a meteoric rise over the past year, and his last victory came against Kazula Vargas via first-round choke out at UFC London last month.

Speaking about his intentions to fight the Liverpudlian, Paul told MMA Hour: “I have found out who I would like to fight if I did a UFC match. Paddy the Baddy.

“They say he is the next Conor McGregor right, he is super charismatic and entertaining as hell. He is on the come-up and young like me and has a real loud mouth. I like the way he can perform. He could get up to 185lbs and I could get down to 185lbs for a UFC match.

“It's the only thing I don't know if I would win, he is a good a** fighter and I have never had an MMA fight. If I am doing it obviously I think I am going to win. But now I am looking at it and if I do a UFC fight then I have to do it with someone else who can sell tickets.”

In response, Pimblett believes he would be able to defeat the American ‘quite easily’ despite their big difference in size. He told The Schmo: “He knows who the boy is, doesn’t he? He knows who will put bums on seats, lad. I can’t see him mentioning anyone else.

Do you think Paddy Pimblett should fight Logan Paul? Let us know in the comments section.

“I know he’s a lot bigger than me but I don’t think it really matters, to be honest. I think I’d submit him quite easily and quite quickly but you never know, anything can happen in a fight. If Logan Paul ever does want the fight, lad, I’m open to hearing what numbers he’s coming at us with."

Despite his recent remarkable rise, Pimblett admitted that he would continue to refuse to fight a top 15 opponent until his UFC contract is improved.

Speaking after his most recent bout he said: “I wouldn’t take a top 15 fight. I’ll be honest, I wouldn’t. Add some more zeros to my contract and then I will. I think I proved tonight that I deserve a new contract. Not this little standard one.”
