MMA fans were left feeling rather nauseous as a fighter made his opponent scream in agony by bending his leg. .

Undefeated Russian prospect Gadzhi Omargadzhiev continued his impressive streak with a brutal win over Brazilian Jansey Silva on his UFC debut.

As a result the combat star earned a contract following his clinical performance on UFC president Dana White's Contender Series.

UFC stars are no strangers to suffering brutal injuries in the Octagon, as was the case with Danny Roberts earlier this month.

The welterweight star suffered a gruesome scalp injury during his bout with Ramazan Emeev, after the Russian fighter landed a brutal elbow to the Englishman’s head.

The 34-year-old from Croydon suffered the injury part way through the second round of his bout with the Russian, but despite the blood gushing from his head he bravely fought on to earn victory in Las Vegas.

Following the fight images emerged of Roberts’ gruesome injuries, as they showed the fighter's scalp had split down to the bone.

Understandably the Englishman went on to receive treatment after his win, with a number of stitches required to piece the large open wound back together.
