Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier: Dana White gives update
Conor McGregor returns to the Octagon for the first time in 12 months this weekend, as he faces rival Dustin Poirier at UFC 257. The pair clash at Fight Island in Abu Dhabi this evening. What time is the fight tonight?
The Notorious will be facing American Poirier on Fight Island on Saturday night.
The former two-division champion will be hoping to start exactly where he left off in January 2020.
One year ago, McGregor beat Donald Cerrone inside 40 seconds at UFC 246.
He now faces a familiar foe in Abu Dhabi, as McGregor and Poirier come face-to-face once again.
The pair first met in the Octagon back in 2014, with McGregor ultimately coming out on top.
He won the fight in two minutes, after catching the American with a sharp left-hand punch.
Since then, Poirier has lost just two fights out of 12; one of which was against champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.
The US fighter most recently beat Dan Hooker in June 2020, and is looking to build on the recent success.
