Jake Paul has a ‘genuine dislike’ for UFC chief Dana White and Conor McGregor
Jake Paul has claimed that his online feuds with Dana White and Conor McGregor came about because he has a "genuine dislike" for them.
Paul entered the world of combat sports when he decided to cash in on his social media fame with a boxing career.
So far he boasts an impressive record of five professional victories without defeat – though he is yet to fight an opponent with any prior top-level boxing experience.
Since becoming well known in the fighting world he has styled himself as a "disruptor", with UFC chief White and MMA star McGregor being two of his main targets.
Those actions have caused some fans to label Paul as someone who is simply trying to use the fame of others to keep himself in the public eye.
But he refutes that suggestion, and has insisted that he would only ever start a feud with someone if there was already some ill-feeling there.
"It's a little bit of both but it starts with a genuine dislike," Paul told Eddie Hearn on No Passion No Point, when asked about White and McGregor.
"I told my team like I will never attack somebody unless it feels genuine, I will never really start something. All of the people that I attack 90 per cent of the people is in response.
"I'm not out there trying to create feuds, but I am definitely a troll naturally and I giggle when I post this stuff I find it hilarious.

"I am definitely a disruptor, I think that is what my main talent is by shaking the tree. Boxing is like taxis and I am coming in with the Uber app.
"I am trying to come in and put the taxis out of business and change the way boxing is done."
Such a radical approach was always likely to result in Paul making some enemies, and he has certainly not disappointed in that regard.
As well as the likes of White and McGregor, he is also disliked by UFC stars Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz.
Paul has tried to use Masvidal to get one over on White recently, after joining the push for UFC fighters to receive better pay for their efforts.

As well as offering to retire from professional boxing, Paul said he would face Masvidal in a one-off MMA fight in return for that change in the UFC's pay structure.
White has since dismissed that offer, however, while Paul has also had limited success in getting a bite out of former UFC champion McGregor.
Paul has repeatedly trolled the Irishman for his defeats to Dustin Poirier and his lifestyle outside the fighting world, all while pushing for what would likely be a mega-money boxing match between the pair.
However, McGregor is yet to really engage in any back-and-forth with the American, making it clear that he has no interest in such a bout.
