Ex-UFC star Johnny Case ‘arrested for domestic assault’ of female MMA fighter
Former UFC star Johnny Case was arrested in Las Vegas on Thursday for domestic battery, according to reports.
TMZ Sports claim that online records show the MMA star was kept in custody in Clark County, Nevada.
Details surrounding his alleged arrest have not yet been released, however it has been reported that the alleged victim was in fact a female MMA fighter.
Case is currently on the Professional Fighters League books and is set to lock horns with Loik Radzhabov on April 23.
He got his career up and running in 2007, only to suffer defeat in his first two professional contests.
Yet the lightweight then turned his form around and recorded eight victories on the bounce.
He made his UFC debut in 2014, toppling Kazuki Tokudome before picking up another three wins in the promotion.
Nevertheless, consecutive setbacks against Jake Matthews in 2016 and Anthony Rocco Martin a year later brought his UFC career to a close.
Case has since campaigned across America and most recently with Japanese promotion RIZIN.
He won his first three bouts with RIZIN before slumping to defeat in his most recent outing, coming unstuck against Tofiq Musayev in December 2019.
The Iowa man also joins Radzhabov, Akhmed Aliev, Olivier Aubin-Mercier, Clay Collard, Marcin Held, Joilton Lutterbach, Mikhail Odintsov, Anthony Pettis and Natan Schulte in PFL's 2021 season.
