Doc tells fighter ‘he didn’t kick your balls’ in ‘best 10 seconds ever in UFC’
Unless you're a footballer, kicking balls is a big no no, even in a sport as violent as MMA.
An undercard bout at UFC 294 was controversially stopped after a fighter was (seemingly) walloped in the plums by his opponent. During their bantamweight clash in Abu Dhabi on Saturday night, Javid Basharat unleashed a vicious kick aimed for Victor Henry's thigh, only for it to land a lot closer to his testes.
Henry immediately hit the deck holding his groin as he waited for the match to be called off. But in a bizarre turn of events, the fight doctor didn't think the kick had struck his balls at all, and told him so while 'tending' to him on the mat, leading to what fans labelled "the best 10 seconds in UFC history".

Speaking loudly enough for the ring side microphones to hear him, the doctor sternly told Henry: "No it wasn't your balls. He didn't kick your balls."
An exasperated, and somewhat nad-sore Henry replied: "Oh no it was all d*** and balls," but to no avail, prompting a stunned Jon Anik to say on commentary: "And now the doctor's going to tell him it didn't hit his testicles? Come on, man!"

Slow-motion replays showed that Basharat's kick landed dangerously close to the centre of Henry's groin, though contact with the crown jewels may have only been slight. However as any post-pubescent bloke will tell you, a graze is enough to floor anyone.

It didn't matter in the end because luckily for Henry, the referee disagreed with the doctor's assessment and declared the fight a no contest after calling for an unintentional foul. Later on the broadcast, Anik revealed that Henry vomited backstage and was being taken to a local hospital.
