Dana White brands Fury crossover fight with Ngannou a "f***ing waste of time"
Boxing superstar Tyson Fury and UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou teased a blockbuster crossover fight after the Gypsy King successfully defended his WBC heavyweight title with a sixth round TKO win over Dillian Whyte at Wembley last month.
Ngannou joined Fury in the ring after his victory, with the pair both hyping a potential crossover bout. However, UFC president Dana White has branded crossover fights "f****** stupid" and suggested Ngannou taking on Fury would be "silly".
In an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, White said: "Crossover fights are f****** stupid, that's why. F****** waste of time, energy, and money. I mean, listen, I don't know. It's silly, but I get it.
"Boxing is a massive advantage for Tyson Fury. Ngannou just wrestled Ciryl Gane. If you know anything about fighting, it's a silly conversation, it's a silly conversation…
"They've been talking about it and everything. I mean, guys, Fury is the best boxer, one of the greatest boxers of all time. I mean, you look at the guys he's beaten and how easily he's beating them.
"I don't know, we'll see how this whole thing plays out. I don't love the crossover fights. I don't love them."

Ngannou, however, has said he will not sign a new contract with the UFC unless there is a clause in the deal which will allow him to fight Fury. Speaking on The MMA Hour, Ngannou revealed: "The Tyson Fury fight has to be part of the discussion.
"That's not an option. It has to be part of the discussion because if that's not part of the discussion, it will never be.
"If I sign another contract now, basically the same model of the contract, I'm screwed. That’s not happening ever. So we have to figure out a way to implement this into a contract."
