Conor McGregors body transformation with extra 30lbs since Dustin Poirier loss
Conor McGregor showed off his recent body transformation after adding 30lbs of muscle as he eyes a winning return to the octagon.
The Irishman has been hitting the gym during his recovery from a broken leg, adding to his frame to weigh an astonishing 85 kilograms.
McGregor suffered multiple fractures to his fibula and tibia in the first-round loss to Dustin Poirier in the trilogy fight between the two in July, and has spoken of the impact of being away from the sport on his mental health.
The 32-year-old has noticeably gotten larger over the last few months and now reportedly weights 187lbs – just under 85kg.
During a spontaneous Twitter Q&A, McGregor was asked about his weight to which he replied: “Right now. 85kg of muscle. No fat.”
McGregor weighed in at 156lbs or 70.7kg for his clash with Poirier, and he is expected to complete his recovery and return to the octagon in July at the very earliest.
His manager and business partner Audie Attar recently revealed McGregor’s recovery is going well, declaring the former two-weight champion is ‘ahead of schedule’.
“He’s ahead of schedule,” the Paradigm Sports Management boss said. “We not only just got our x-ray results [back], [we got] our ultrasound results and CT scan results.

“And when I look at the view of the x-ray myself, it’s healing so beautifully. He’s only 10-and-a-half weeks out of surgery and he’s walking.
“And he's actually doing s**t that we don't want him to do like throwing the first pitch at the Cubs game.”
McGregor, who has a record of 22-6 record in MMA, is waiting for his tibia to fully recover before he returns to hard combat training.
McGregor gave his own update of his leg injury as he told his fans: “The fibula is fully healed. The medial side is developing nice callous also.

“It is just patience now for it to form down through the bone to the lateral side of the tibia where the larger break occurred.
“It’s getting there. Patience will win this race for me!”
Although McGregor suggested he will be patient with his recovery, he's reportedly hoping to be resume sparring by April at the latest.
He added: “I will be full mixed martial arts sparring by April. Easily!
“By then a return will be imminent. But I must be patient. I will beat this!”
