Conor McGregor has been alerted by fellow UFC star Michael Bisping that a fight with Daniel Cormier would end badly for the Irishman. McGregor and Cormier have been feuding online in the wake of the former’s defeat to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264.
McGregor has been on various tirades on Twitter recently, taking aim at a range of figures from within the UFC. Cormier had drawn his ire after the former heavyweight champion suggested that the bizarre social media antics could be a “cry for help”.
McGregor responded in typically aggressive fashion, insulting Cormier’s weight, his professionalism as a broadcaster and indeed his fighting skills in a series of tweets which concluded with McGregor calling Cormier “evil”.
Cormier had been drinking beers with co-commentator Laura Sanko in a planned section for ESPN.
In a now deleted tweet, McGregor wrote: “Daniel Cormier is a fat mess. Getting into worse condition by the day. God bless him. Showing up drunk at media events the very day before he was in the booth calling my fight. Drunk at a media event working? The day before being a commentator on the biggest fight in history?”

McGregor added: “@dc_mma Your back situations just mental too. Your weight and way of life is abysmal. And now drunk at work the day before you commentate a McGregor event? Pitiful. Congrats Jon on his head kick KO anniversary over you. Good always defeats evil? Wasn’t sure you were evil. Fakes.”
Bisping spoke about the quarrel on his Believe You Me podcast, and made it clear that McGregor would be in serious trouble if the two were to ever scrap.
Bisping said: “Be careful what you wish for.
“Be careful who you’re picking fights with- because I’m not disrespecting Conor McGregor- but I don’t care what Conor McGregor it is, whether it’s double-champ Conor McGregor; DC is gonna f****** pull you limb from limb.

“That ain’t a fight. That is murder, that is assault, somebody call the cops.”
McGregor was told of Bisping’s comments and unsurprisingly hit out at the Englishman on Twitter, calling into question Bisping’s fame and combat ability.
McGregor wrote: “Bisping is a nobody on Sirius XM.
“Rushed back to competition after being dropped/strangled and then gets shotgun slept by [Kelvin] Gastelum’s left hand. Devastating.
“Even though I collect commission on all his fights, I still said to the team to pull the [Gastelum] fight. I knew it was coming.”
McGregor then went on to brag about the fact that he earned from Bisping’s fights.
“But hey, 100k! 50k off the top of each fight. I used to say “yoink” every time it hit the account.”
McGregor is still recovering from the broken leg he suffered in the defeat to Poirier. He is expected to be out for at least a year.
