Conor McGregor has claimed he weighs more than heavyweight champion boxer T yson Fury, as his bulking continues. McGregor has not featured in the octagon since the summer of 2021 after he suffered a severe leg break when losing to Dustin Poirier.
Since then, the Irishman has gone through a strenuous rehabilitation to get himself back to fitness. In that time McGregor has blown up to a weight of 190lbs, as he plans to return to UFC at 170lbs in 2023.
McGregor's coach John Kavanagh has revealed he puts the recent bulking down to the Irishman's increase in weight training, with him unable to take part in MMA drills due to his injury.

The Irishman has kept his fans in the loop of his recuperation, and many have noticed the fighter's big body transformation. One fan asked the 34-year-old what his weight was up to, and he joked that now weighs heavier than hard-hitting boxer Fury.
He replied: "I don't know mate but I am big. I'd say about 265lb in the bank." It remains to be know when – or if – McGregor will in fact return to UFC action. Doubt on his future was cast after it was revealed he was not enrolled with the United States Anti-Doping Agency [USADA] – a mandatory requirement for UFC competitors.
As a result this means that the Notorious One's return is at least half a year away, with McGregor required to undergo six months of drug testing and provide a minimum of at least two negative tests before he’s allowed to compete in the UFC again. Despite this the 34-year-old seems set on making his return.
Taking to Instagram earlier this summer he wrote: "The greatest and the biggest sports comeback in history. Will you be a witness?" Fellow fighter Beneil Dariush is less than convinced though, who knows exactly what McGregor is going through after suffering a similar injury.
When do you think Conor McGregor will return to the octagon? Let us know in the comments section below.
The break is the same break I had. I was ready to fight in August,” Dariush told talkSPORT. "I don’t know how badly he wants to get back into that octagon. I wish him well. I hope he gets better and gets back into the Octagon and fights.
"I don’t know if his desire is really there because we had the same break. I really don’t know what’s going on with Conor Obviously, he’s doing movies and for MMA fighters I don’t know if that is a good thing.”
