Claressa Shields ramps up Jake Paul feud by threatening to sue YouTuber
Claressa Shields has threatened to sue Jake Paul following a war of words on social media.
Shields, a double Olympic goal medallist and three-weight world champion and Paul, the YouTuber-turned-boxer, are no strangers to exchanging barbs.
Back in September, Shields reacted angrily to a media question about whether she would ever fight on one of Paul's undercards.
She replied: "Don’t ever disrespect me. I would never fight on the undercard of Jake Paul.
"I’m a three-division world champion and a two-time Olympic gold medallist in boxing.
"I would never fight on the undercard of Jake Paul. I can beat up Jake Paul at the weight class I’m at right now."
Paul, who will face Tyron Woodley for the second time this weekend, hit back when Shields lost her PFL MMA fight in October.
He posted a statement which read: "Claressa Shields is a loser. In MMA and even more so with her prima donna attitude.
"The fake always get exposed. Losses come when anger and hate take over. Just ask [Ronda] Rousey and [Conor] McGregor.
"She spent more time berating Jake Paul than learning Jiu Jitsu. She’s never been a big draw and, unfortunately for her, she never will be.
"Amanda Serrano (the GWOAT) though, has 30 KOs in 42 fights. 2-0 in MMA, both wins by submission. Congrats Abigail Montes on the win."

That led to Shields accusing the 24-year-old YouTuber of having no knockout clauses in his fight contracts – something he has denied.
Shields has enjoyed seeing her foe repeatedly asked about it took great joy in the fact on social media, tweeting: "It’s hilarious to see Jake get asked about the no-knockout clause. Say my name b****!
"You come for me, I come for you. Google ‘NDA’ It’s only a question though."
Their war of words continued when a tweet from the BAVAFA Sports account – the advisory company founded by Nakisa Bidarian who manages Paul – accused Shields of asking to be on one of the fighter's undercards.

The tweet from BAVAFA read: “What’s hilarious is the multiple times you and your team tried to be a part of a Jake Paul event. Time reveals all. #Receipts”
Shields' manager, Mark Taffet, then got involved and took a shot at Bidarian.
He said: "Hey Nakisa @BAVAFASports let the fighters speak for themselves. If u want to engage in debate with me just let me know. I am not Claressa; she's not me. My discussions are my words, not hers. @SalitaProm."
That infuriated Shields who quote-tweeted the comments made by Taffet and threatened to sue Paul.

"Never have I ever. I’m bout Sue @jakepaul & his team for defamation and of character cause I ain’t never asked to be on no undercard of no YouTuber," she tweeted.
Shen then followed that up with another tweet which said: "Somebody bout to get sued for lying on my name. Can’t wait to call my lawyer tomorrow morning."
Away from social media, Shields looks set to fight mandatory challenger Ema Kozin as she bids to defend her WBA, WBC and IBF belts on 29th January in Cardiff.
