Beastly bodybuilder Martyn Ford has undergone an astonishing body transformation
Self-proclaimed 'World Scariest Man' Martyn Ford is preparing to take on the'Iranian Hulk' Sajad Gharibi this April at London's O2 Arena.
Ford, 39, who often shares shirtless images of him flexing his massive muscles to his Instagram audience of 3.3 million followers, began his bodybuilding journey after an injury at the age of 20.
Once a lanky lad who stood at 6ft 8in, Ford – now muscular and tattooed – was struck down by a cricket injury which had him turning to the gym in order to bulk up and gain self-confidence.
Here’s everything you need to know about Ford’s jaw-dropping body transformation.
Why did Martyn Ford start bodybuilding?
The towering weightlifter from Minworth in the West Midlands began his ground breaking body building journey after his injury left him distraught about his physique.
He told the Daily Mail: "The injury hit me quite hard and then psychologically I just gave up, I suppose a combination of not training and depression took me right down to that sort of weight."
To solve his issues he began rigorous weight-training program, which allowed him to put on weight quickly and regain self-confidence.
Now weighing around 320lb, the muscle man spoke of his past skinny form on Instagram: "We have all been there, no one accidentally grows muscle.
"However it often seems impossible to get good advice on how they did it! After being in that place, so desperate to grow and feel better about myself, I know how frustrating it can be."
Ford is currently training for his fight against the Iranian Hulk and looks bigger than ever with his strict new training regime which includes sparring, physio and rehabilitation sessions.

Ford, who is the owner of Beta Bodz gym, reportedly combines cardio and strength training, working out five times a week. He also focuses on eating right and prioritises his rest periods when trying to bulk up.
Besides his diet and workout routine, Martyn has also stressed on the importance of mindset in attaining your dream body.
He advises: "Mental preparation and success, in my opinion are far more important to success than any drug, supplement or food source. If your mind is not in the game, you may as well just give up and go home."
He added that it's important to think about what you don't want to become, saying: "Staying focused is key for success! You need to be clear and adamant on your goals. Know why you are in the gym, what your trying to achieve, and what your target is."
