Murray has incredible net worth ten times more than Raducanu and Gauff

Andy Murray speaks about pressure, family life and Wimbledon, 10 years after his first title

Andy Murray has a total net worth estimated to be in the region of £130million. The staggering number is over ten times greater than that of rising stars Emma Raducanu and Coco Guaff.

Both ladies have accumulated assets worth around £10m already in their young careers but Murray blows those figures out of the water.

In 2016 alone, he earned prize money numbering £10.8m from a stellar campaign that included nine titles and three Grand Slam tournament finals. When he won Wimbledon for the first time in 2013, he was the first British player to do so since Fred Perry 80 years before and received £1.6m for the achievement.

Murray owns a great deal of property including a mansion in Oxshott, Surrey, which set him back over £5m when he bought it back in 2009.

He also previously owned a luxury flat in Miami which he sold in 2016 for £1.8m at a £1m profit. Meanwhile, the 36-year-old owns a five-star hotel in Cromlix, Kinbuck as well. The Victorian manse is set in 34 acres of secluded grounds in the beautiful Scottish countryside.

Murray held his wedding reception here with his wife Kate in 2015. The cheapest double room costs £220 a night while some suites exceed £500.

The British tennis icon also boasts an impressive car collection including an Aston Martin DB9 valued at £200,000, a £66,000 Jaguar I-Pace and a Porsche Cayenne SUV, worth around £50,000.

He also once owned a Ferrari 430 which costs roughly £117,000 but flogged it shortly after buying it, admitting that he felt like a ‘prat’ behind the wheel of the luxury Italian sports car.

Yet despite owning plenty of top-of-the-range cars, Murray is most often seen whipping around in his trusty Volkswagen Polo. “The only other car I have got is a Volkawagen Polo, which is my first car which I have still got. I had it when I passed my test at 21,” he said back in 2013.

“I drove that to Wimbledon last year. It is still the car I drive most in. Are people surprised when they see my get out of it? I don’t think many people look to be honest if it’s a Volkswagen Polo. Is it sentimentality? It’s not something I’ve thought much about it.

“The reason I kept it is because if people come to stay, it’s a good car to pick people up from the station and those sort of things. Because it is my first car, I have kept it – it’s done about 30,000 miles now.”
