Cameron Norrie offered a tearful young tennis fan his towel in a heartwarming gesture during his four-set loss against Roger Federer at Wimbledon.
Norrie was the last remaining Brit in the men’s singles but eventually lost 6-4, 6-4, 5-7, 6-4 against the legendary Swiss.
Federer, 39, has not had much time on court across the last few months but dug deep to see off a resilient Norrie.

The youngster was crying after being hit by a stray ball, before South Africa-born Norrie noticed the stricken boy.
Norrie, Britain’s No 2, ran over to the stands and threw his orange towel to the child’s mother, who promptly handed it to her son.
The boy was stunned by the generous gesture, and he received an ovation from the crowd in appreciation of his kindness.

Federer’s win means he will face 23rd seed, Italian Lorenzo Sonego in the last 16 next at SW19
The result means there will be no British representation in the second week of the men’s singles at SW19.
Next up Federer will play Italian Lorenzo Sonego in the last 16, the 23rd seed who beat James Duckworth in straight sets to progress.
He said: ‘Super relieved. It was a tough battle and it was so close. He deserved that third set, he played excellent today. I was able to keep a high level of play and he got that good break at the end of the third – but I can be very happy with how I played.’
