Zinedine Zidane’s Premier League stance as Solskjaer fights to save Man Utd job
Zinedine Zidane's stance on managing in the Premier League suggests that he may not be the man to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as Manchester United manager.
Solskjaer is under mounting pressure at Old Trafford following a poor start to the new season, with doubts over his future escalating after Sunday's 5-0 home defeat to Liverpool.
With the United board reportedly considering sacking the former Cardiff City manager, a number of high profile candidates are being linked with replacing him in the dugout.
One of these is Frenchman Zidane, who has been out of work since leaving Real Madrid at the end of last season.
However, comments from his agent, Alain Migliaccio, from three years ago have resurfaced that cast doubt on whether Zidane taking over at United.
Speaking to Le Journal Du Dimanche in October 2018, Migliaccio said: "I don't think he will manage in England. It doesn't fit his style. I talked to him. It doesn't really appeal to him."
At the time, Zidane was in between his two spells as Los Blancos manager and was the subject of speculation linking him with replacing the then United boss Jose Mourinho.

By the time Mourinho was dismissed by United, Zidane had returned to the Santiago Bernabeu, with the Red Devils ultimately appointing Solskjaer as the Portuguese gaffer's replacement.
Zidane is understood to be one of the most sought after managers in Europe at present, with a host of clubs eyeing him up to become their next boss.
The new owners of Newcastle United are reportedly admirers of Zidane and have considered him as a potential option to replace the recently sacked Steve Bruce at St. James' Park.
Meanwhile, French giants Paris Saint-Germain are believed to want Zidane to become the clubs manager at some point in the future.
PSG are currently managed by former Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino but see Zidane as the next man to attempt to deliver their first Champions League title.
Zidane won three consecutive European crowns during his first spell as Real Madrid manager, lifting the famous trophy in 2016, 2017 and 2018.
