Zinedine Zidane ‘tells Real Madrid stars he will leave at end of season’
Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has reportedly told his players that he will leave the club at the end of the season.
There has been plenty of speculation over Zidane's future despite the Frenchman putting Real firmly in the La Liga title race.
Los Blancos also reached the semi-finals of the Champions League, where they were knocked out by Premier League giants Chelsea.
Though Goal report Zidane will end his second spell in charge at the Bernabeu at the end of the current season.
It's claimed that Zidane has told Real Madrid players of his plan, revealing his decision in the dressing room.
Goal add that he told Real stars before last Sunday's 2-2 draw away to Sevilla in La Liga.
It will be the second time Zidane has resigned in the Spanish capital having previously quit in 2018.
That was shortly after their third consecutive Champions League triumph though Zidane returned just ten months later.
Zidane said: "I don't know what'll happen. I'm here, we're playing tomorrow and next week, but I don't know what happens after that because this is Real Madrid.
"I only focus on the present, not the future or the past.
"People think I left in the past because I didn't want the responsibility or because things got too difficult.
"No, never. The only thing is that I work my socks off and there comes a point when it's time for a change," he added.
"But not just for me, for the players and the club, for everyone. I don't leave because it's easier to go.
"There are moments when you need to be around and moments when the end arrives and you have to make a change."
