Brendan Rodgers has been tipped to take Youri Tielemans with him to Manchester United if he were to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Rodgers is reportedly a top candidate for United if they were to sack Solskjaer. The Red Devils’ poor start to the season was compounded by the 5-0 demolition by Liverpool last weekend.
Solskjaer will be given Saturday’s match at Tottenham at least to begin turning the club’s fortunes around.
But that has not stopped a host of names being linked with the job.
Former Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte and ex-Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane are two of the frontrunners.
However, Leicester manager Rodgers has also emerged as a top target.

European football expert Julien Laurens reckons Rodgers would be the right type of manager for United.
But he admits it would cost them a lot to get him out of Leicester.
“It will cost them, more than somebody who is free like Antonio Conte for example or others,” Laurens said on the Gab and Juls podcast.
“I don’t think there’s a release clause per se like there was for [Julian] Nagelsmann for example.

“But certainly they would have to negotiate with Leicester, and Leicester as we’ve seen in the past, even with United and Harry Maguire, can be tough to negotiate with so good luck with that one.
“On the other hand I think he would tick a lot of the boxes of what they’d want.
“You could be a bit scared off by his experience at Liverpool but he was much younger at the time.
“I think he’s matured a lot since then and certainly the job he’s been doing at Leicester is great, so I would be all for Rodgers at United if that was the direction they would want to take.
“I think he has been very good to [Leicester], he’s taken them to the next level. As a reward they could open the door for him.”
Midfielder Tielemans has been linked with United in the past.
And Laurens reckons Rodgers could take the Belgian with him, saying: “You could see that coming.”
Meanwhile, Rodgers batted away speculation linking him with the United job this week.
“I don’t even think about it,” Rodgers said.
“I’m sure the supporters are probably tired of it. At Leicester, there is always a link.
“My focus is always here with Leicester and developing the football club and challenging for honours.
“The directors, staff and players all have the same vision.”
