Granit met Leonita when he played for Borussia Monchengladbach. The two share a Kosovo-Albanian background and were engaged in 2016 after spending two years together. Sharing a picture of their engagement, Granit said: "A golden Ball is a miracle, a golden wife is a paradise!"
Leonita meanwhile earns her keep as a social media model and has over 185,000 followers on Instagram alone. She spends most of her time posting about her family, but is no stranger to a stunning holiday snap or too either.
