Fans will be eager to see how the former Tottenham and Paris Saint-Germain manager will set up his team. Chelsea currently have a bloated squad after splashing over £450million on new players in recent transfer windows, including the new acquisitions of Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson.
Wrexham on the other hand have been frugal in their summer spending so far with defender Will Boyle signing from Huddersfield town. A surprise addition to the squad has been made via American goalkeeper Phillip Falcon III who will take part on the US tour.
The game could also make an appearance on the next season of Reynolds and McElhenney’s docuseries “Welcome to Wrexham”. The show details the club’s journey throughout the football leagues and both owners could be making an appearance with games taking place in their home nation.
