Wrexham star climbed on physio bed at 6am for ’20-min kip’ after promotion party
Wrexham's star man Paul Mullin has revealed he only slept for 20 minutes after the Red Dragons were promoted – and it was on the physio's bed.
Mullin was on the scoresheet again as Wrexham, ended their exile from the Football League in a comeback win against Boreham Wood. Phil Parkinson's side wrapped up the title – and with it, the National League's only automatic spot.
And as the promotion celebrations went into the early hours of the morning, speaking on Tubes & Ange Golf Life, Mullin opened up about the crazy experience. He recalled: "We went out, we went into a local bar!

"But when we got there it was just too packed, honestly, it was chaos – just people everywhere in the streets!
"So, we set off back from there to the stadium to all be together and spend a bit of time with each other. Because, in there you just couldn't move because there were so many people!"

The striker revealed the players had then sat and spoken about the key moments of the season. Mullin added: "It was an unbelievable night, and 6am comes, and I'm climbing onto a physio's bed to try and get some kip!"
Mullin, who was born in Liverpool, has spoken about his desire to represent Wales in recent months, telling The Times: “I’d love to play for Wales.
“Looking at the Wales team, their togetherness, that reflects me. The people I have got to know in Wales have treated me well and made me one of them. I want to play at the highest level. I will never give up hope of playing in the Premier League until I am retired.”
The 28-year-old qualifies for Welsh citizenship through his grandparents.
