Wrexham captain tells all about Las Vegas party from Bellagio to Chainsmokers
Reynolds and McElhenney join Wrexham players on bus parade
Wrexham captain Ben Tozer has revealed all about the Welsh club’s unbelievable four-day trip to Las Vegas. Hollywood co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney put on an all-expenses-paid promotion party after their players won the National League title to end a 15-year absence from the Football League.
After arriving in the United States, several players shared photos from the holiday. Pictures emerged of the squad at the Hakkasan Nightclub, Sin City’s BrewDog bar, and partying poolside at the MGM Grand.
They were all sent an itinerary before jetting out Stateside, with which the owners insisted that they leave their credit cards at home. Such was the extent of their partying that Reynolds checked in on them to ensure they were still alive despite not being a part of the trip himself.
Tozer, 33, was involved in the shenanigans, though, and has lifted the lid on the team’s post-season exploits. Since returning to the United Kingdom, the defender has offered a behind-the-scenes insight into the trip.
“We got there Thursday dinner time,” he told talkSPORT, “they took us to Hakkasan for dinner, which was amazing, then we went to Hakkasan Nightclub, and they treated us to the best tables, and it was just insane, really. Almost everything was insane.
“The next day, they took us to Wet Republic Pool Party, which was again the best tables and layout for us, and everything was free; then in the evening was Omnia Nightclub, and four of us got to go up on stage with Steve Aoki.
“The next day was Marquee Pool Party followed by dinner on the balcony at the Bellagio; then we were at XS Nightclub where The Chainsmokers were playing.”

Tozer continued: “At the Bellagio [there was an ice sculpture], honestly, the treatment we’ve had has been almost like royalty, it’s been surreal, and the owners are just incredible.
“We had the best security; even if we wanted to go to the toilet, they would take us. I was like, ‘no chance’ I wanted to get in the mix, but that was the sort of treatment we had; it was so bizarre.
“The honesty and the personable bits they’re doing around the town, I believe we’ve got the best owners in the world; the way that they are. They honour everything they say and don’t say it flippantly; so far, they’ve backed everything they’ve said up.”
