World Cup fan plans to break record but English YouTuber wants to go one further
A Canada fan is planning to break the Guinness World Record for most World Cup games attended – while an English YouTuber wants to go to them all.
The official record is currently held by South African fan Thulani Ngcobo, who went to 31 games in 2010. There's set to be 64 matches in Qatar across the next four weeks, and Canadian Lee Kormish, 44, has tickets for 41 of them.
"The logistics are really crazy to try to break this record," he told the Toronto Star, because for the record to count he needs two witnesses at every game to sign that he was in his seat for the entirety of the match.

That immediately rules out eight group games, because the final round before the knockout stages sees the fixtures kick-off at the same time.
If all goes to plan, Lee will smash the record, with Qatar's small size meaning it's otherwise quite easy to get from one stadium to the other in a short space of time.
And that has inspired social media star Thogden to attempt what has been labelled "The Impossible Challenge" of watching every single game live.

In conjunction with Crypto.com and COPA90, the 21-year-old, who has over 1million subscribers on YouTube, is aiming to be the first person in history to achieve the feat.
Speaking to The Mirror, he said: "We had the idea of doing a challenge because we saw the stadiums were so close together. It's something that's never been done before and it's an amazing challenge – it's right up my street and fits with the content I make on my channel."
Thogden will be leaving matches halfway through while Lee will be staying put for the full 90 minutes. Both start their respective missions at Qatar vs Ecuador as the tournament gets underway on Sunday.
