Wolves goalkeeper Jose Sa has been branded a cheat in what has been described as "epic s***houser"’ after being caught churning up the penalty spot in their 2-0 defeat against Brentford.
In the incident that was caught by television cameras, the Portuguese stopper is seen raking the studs of his boots against the grass before Bees striker Ivan Toney faced up to a spot-kick in the first-half.
Sa’s indiscretions were also spotted by referee Darren England and failed to have the desired impact, as last season’s Championship top scorer Toney comfortably netted home to take a 1-0 lead.
Wolves were unable to equalise and Brentford doubled the goal deficit just six minutes later after Bryan Mbuemo found the net – securing victory for the Bees to take them to 9th in the Premier League table.
Since the incident, fans have taken to social media condemning the actions of the 28-year-old goalkeeper.
One fan said: "Lololol wolves keeper Jose Sa during the arguing of the penalty digs cleat into penalty spot to mess it up then goes wrong way.
"Karmas a b**** buddy. Take that yellow card while you’re at it."
Another fan added: "That is some epic s***housery by Jose Sa."
Another tweet read: "You cheat Jose Sa. Caught in the act!"
Despite a red card for Brentford midfielder Shandon Baptiste that reduced the away-side to 10 men, Wolves were unable to capitalise on the good fortune and the Bees defence remained strong throughout the game to deny any goals.
Despite having an abundance of goal scorers in their arsenal such as Raul Jimenez, Hwang Hee-chan, Fabio Silva and Adama Traore, Wolves were unable to find the net at their home ground.
It’s been a difficult start to the season for Bruno Lage’s side who have only managed to accumulate three points from their first four games and currently sit 16 th in the Premier League table.

Speaking on Ivan Toney, Brentford boss Thomas Frank was bursting with pride for the young striker.
“He was superb,” he said in a post-match conference. “What a player, what a mentality, what a presence. What an assist, by the way! He was ever-present. That was a 10 out of 10 performance. I'm extremely pleased for him. The person behind the player is fantastic.”
Meanwhile Wolves boss Lage condemned the refereeing and accused the away-side of time-wasting during the game. He said: “I see too many players on the floor for the opponents. Even the goalkeeper changed his gloves.”
In response to the slings and arrows from his opposite number, Frank said: “Did we deserve to win?' Yes, Brentford did, he was told. 'Don't use excuses. Don't spin it.'”
