Harry Winks has revealed that nobody from Tottenham has contacted him during his loan spell at Sampdoria, not even manager Antonio Conte.
Winks has a long-standing association with Tottenham having been at the club for over 20 years after joining as a youth player.
However, communication with his parent club has been non-existent so far this campaign.
The midfielder stressed that at present he is fully focused on playing for Sampdoria.
‘I am on loan until the end of the season, I am satisfied with this experience, but I don’t know what the future holds and I don’t want to think about it,’ he told Gazzetta dello Sport.

Winks stated that not even manager Antonio Conte has got in touch while he has been on loan
‘I can only focus on the next match, but I am proud to have made this choice. Nobody from Tottenham has contacted me, not even the coach. I was and am fully focusing on Samp.’
Winks has made nine appearances for Sampdoria so far, but his start to the season was disrupted by an ankle injury that kept him out until January.
The 27-year-old is grateful for the support that he received from the club while he was injured.
Winks stressed his belief that Sampdoria can still avoid relegation from Serie A, even though they are bottom of the table and are 12 points adrift of safety.
He said: ‘I feel in debt to Sampdoria. If I had been available from the start, I would have given my all to help the team, but I don’t want to think my presence would have been fundamental. This is a great team, regardless of what’s going on.
Winks, who has made over 200 appearances for Tottenham, says he’s focused on Sampdoria
‘I am sorry because the club has always supported me, on and off the pitch. It was important to solve my ankle problem.
‘There are amazing people here, and so are the fans. There is a strong sense of belonging and I can only be grateful to the team. There have been many changes, but we’ve never lacked support. We will continue to fight, we can still make it.’
Since making his senior debut in 2014 Winks has made 203 appearances for Tottenham.
Sampdoria have an option to sign Winks permanently when his loan deal expires at the end of the season.
Winks has also been capped by England on ten occasions but hasn’t featured for the national side since 2020.
