Wilshere picks another Arsenal youngster to follow after Charlie Patino praise
Jack Wilshere has hinted Charlie Patino isn’t the only Arsenal youngster likely to make a significant first team breakthrough in the not too distant future.
The former Gunners midfielder is currently without a club but has been back training at London Colney recently in a bid to regain fitness, as well as take his first steps towards earning his coaching badges.
Wilshere revealed earlier this week that 17-year-old Patino, who narrowly missed out on making his senior debut in last month’s Carabao Cup win over AFC Wimbledon, is the talk of the training ground.
‘They’ve got some good players like Omari Hutchinson.
‘The one everyone talks about, who I haven’t seen close up yet is Charlie Patino. I’ve seen clips of him and the people, the staff known about him.
‘He’s got the ability, he’s definitely got the ability. If you put him in a game with the first-team he wouldn’t look out of place.
‘In terms of dealing with the pressure, you don’t know until you’re there, especially with the fans back and a lot of pressure on the club to get results.
‘I think technically he’s definitely good enough’
