Wijnaldum fires warning to Liverpool teammates after Reds’ back-to-back wins
Gini Wijnaldum has warned his Liverpool teammates it would be a "really bad thing" to assume they are back to their best despite their back-to-back wins in the Premier League.
The Premier League champions have shown signs of recovery in recent fixtures after a dire run of five top-flight games without a win.
Liverpool produced an excellent display to win 3-1 at Tottenham last Thursday, before emerging victorious from West Ham by the same scoreline on Sunday.
Mohamed Salah grabbed a double at the London Stadium – with his second goal finishing off a sublime counter-attack – while Wijnaldum scored the visitors' third.
But the midfielder insists the Reds must extend their winning run in order to replicate their best form.
"I don't want to say we are back because I think you have to show it every game again," the Dutchman told Liverpool's official website.
"That's what we have to do. We just have to continue to play the way we scored the second goal and try to do it every game.

"Of course, every game is difficult but when the chance is there to create a chance like this we should do it."
Wijnaldum added: "I think it's a really bad thing to think that we are back because every game is another situation, another game and another opponent.
"We have to do it again. I think we look at it that way and just try to play the games with confidence."
Wijnaldum also had words of wisdom for his Anfield colleagues regarding how they should approach the title race, adding: "I don't think we should think about that like leading or chasing.
"We just have to look at it game by game, give everything game by game and then we will see where we will be at the end of the season. I think that's where the focus should be right now."
