Over the years, Dortmund have produced a plethora of talent who have gone on to become big stars for the first team.
The likes of Jadon Sancho, Christian Pulisic, Jude Bellingham and Youssoufa Moukoko have all gone on to make a name for themselves.
Born in 2004, Bynoe-Gittens trained with both the Blues and the Royals and would sign for the Berkshire club after rejecting an invitation to sign for the Premier League giants.
He would eventually move up to Manchester to sign for City’s U15 youth academy.
The winger impressed during his time with City and was rewarded with a chance to play for England’s U16 side at the age of 15.
Bynoe-Gittens would start and score in a 3-3 draw against the Republic of Ireland in August 2019.
A month after featuring for England’s U16 side, Bynoe-Gittens was given a chance to feature against Liverpool in the U18 Premier League for City – scoring City’s fifth in a 5-2 win.
In September 2020, Bynoe-Gittens moved to Dortmund and would play regularly for their U19 team.

After impressing for the youth team, Bynoe-Gittens was handed his debut for Dortmund’s senior team in April 2022 against Wolfsburg.
He would score his first Bundesliga goal on matchday two of the 2022/23 season against Freiburg.
Bynoe-Gittens featured regularly in Dortmund’s first few games this season before picking up a shoulder injury that would rule him out for four months.
Since returning, Bynoe-Gittens has featured regularly and scored in Dortmund’s last league game against Werder Bremen.
The winger can play on either the left or the right-hand side along the forward line, and has drawn comparisons to Sancho.

Bynoe-Gittens has also been compared to Brazilian star Neymar. The Englishman’s dribbling ability, close control and a desire to take on defenders is similar to the PSG forward.
When talking about his ability as a winger, Bynoe-Gittens told secretscout.co.uk: ‘I think it’s just natural. In school, there would be 50 of us on the astros at lunch time. You can just be you and do whatever you want – skills, stepovers, flicks over people’s heads.
‘Being a winger, the coaches tell you to be yourself, an entertainer to the fans. You’ve got to keep trying new stuff and hopefully it will work out in a game.’
