Arsenal director Josh Kroenke will be at the Emirates to watch a match on Sunday for the first time in over a year, according to reports. Kroenke, son of the much-maligned owner Stan Kroenke, travelled from the USA to attend the final game of the season against Brighton. He also visited the club’s training ground on Saturday, addressing the first-team squad and staff.
KSE’s ownership of Arsenal has faced increased criticism in recent weeks.
Arsenal fans once again gathered outside the Emirates on Sunday to protest against the club’s owners.
The decision to join the breakaway European Super League in April, which the Gunners have since withdrawn from, was the last straw for many supporters.
Arsenal will have 10,000 fans inside the Emirates for the match against the Seagulls.

And taking up his place in the directors’ box will be Kroenke.
The Athletic claim Kroenke spoke to the Arsenal squad at the London Colney training base on Saturday.
Kroenke outlined the need for unity among the players, as well as stressing the future plans of the owners.
However, the 41-year-old’s presence for the visit of Brighton will be too little, too late to change the mind of some supporters.

Kroenke issued a joint-statement with father Stan earlier this month, outlining their desire not to sell the club.
The statement came after reports of a takeover bid from Swedish entrepreneur Daniel Ek.
Spotify co-founder Ek is leading a consortium which includes three legendary former Arsenal players in a bid to buy the club off the Kroenkes.
Ek has seen at list one offer for the north London club turned down, but has reiterated he is in it for the long haul.
Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp and Patrick Vieira – the three former players involved – have all separately given their backing to Ek in media interviews.
Vieira was the last to speak, telling the Mail that it is the right time for change at the top of Arsenal.
Vieira said: “After the time that I spent with Daniel, I personally believe it’s time for a change of ownership and I believe he is the right person to bring happiness back to this football club,” the Frenchman told Mail Online.
“What is happening to this club at the moment is bigger than Dennis, Thierry, or myself.
“We are concerned about how we can help Daniel because we strongly believe he can take it to a different level.”
However, this week Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta insisted he hoped talk of a takeover had finished.
“I really hope so because it has been very clear where the owners are standing,” Arteta said.
“I think I have given my view on the situation. Just for the benefit of the club, which is the only interest really of everyone who supports the club, the aim is to get the unity and togetherness that we need to be back where we want. That’s all.”
