West Ham fans tell Antonio ‘just f***ing leave’ after striker admits he could go

Furious West Ham United supporters have sensationally told Michail Antonio to leave the club in January.

The Premier League striker, 32, admitted he "has not ruled anything out" ahead of Tuesday's deadline (January 31st) with a host of clubs known to be interested in making a late move to acquire his services. Top-flight rivals Chelsea and Wolverhampton Wanderers are understood to be monitoring his situation closely.

Antonio, who is West Ham's record goalscorer in the Premier League, told The Footballer's Football Podcast: "Honestly, I've not ruled anything out. That's all I can say. Nothing has been ruled out. There are talks, so whatever happens, happens."

While not firmly stating his intention to pursue a move elsewhere, Antonio's comments riled up plenty of anger from West Ham supporters on social media. "Please just f***ing leave you absolute child," blasted one disgruntled fan.

"Just go please we need men not children to get us out of this s***," slammed a second. "A millionaire footballer doesn't care where he earns his money, as long as he's paid it. Huge shock," harked a third.

"It would appear Antonio is making it very clear to everyone that he is available & up for a move away from WHU this window," chirped a fourth.

If Antonio were to leave the London Stadium, West Ham would prefer to sanction a permanent transfer as he has 18 months remaining on his current contract. Wolves are believed to be leading the chase for his signature with new boss Julen Lopetegui a huge admirer.

Whereas Chelsea are only interested in securing a loan deal having already splashed out more than £150m on the likes of Mykhaylo Mudryk, Benoit Badiashile and Noni Madueke. Antonio continued: "I love the fans, I've loved my time at West Ham. It's just one of those things. I'm not saying goodbye, I'm saying basically if it happens, it happens and if it doesn't, it doesn't.

"I won't be upset about staying and I'll definitely be upset if I leave because obviously I've enjoyed my time here, but football is football." His most recent Premier League goal came in a 3-1 win over Fulham back in October.
