West Ham United have confirmed that Czech investment group 1890s holdings a.s has acquired 27 per cent of shares in the club worth around £200million. Chairman Daniel Kretinsky and his colleague Pavel Horsky will subsequently become members of the WH Holding Ltd. Board of Directors.
Kretinsky – a successful global investor – joins the West Ham Board of Directors after thorough negotiations with joint-Chairmen David Sullivan and David Gold.
West Ham have revealed the agreement will help the club reduce its long-term debt and focus on directing funds into key areas.
The Hammers are on the rise on and off the pitch, with David Moyes overseeing a brilliant campaign so far.
His side are third in the Premier League, three points behind leaders Chelsea, and have already qualified for the Europa League knockout stages.
